Last week, we were excited to showcase WeRide #Robotaxi with the Abu Dhabi Mobility Center at the ITS World Congress in #Dubai, presenting the cutting-edge technology and solution behind our Robotaxi. WeRide Robotaxi initiated services in #AbuDhabi since November 2021, and quickly progressed from road testing to commercial operations on public roads. To date, WeRide's robotaxi service in the #UAE has been operational for 3 years, fulfilling over 20,000 orders for local residents. We feel excited to share that today WeRide, and Uber, the world’s largest mobility and delivery technology platform, announced a strategic partnership to bring WeRide’s autonomous vehicles onto the Uber platform, beginning in the #UnitedArabEmirates. ????The partnership is expected to launch first in #AbuDhabi later this year. ??After launch, riders may be presented with the option of #WeRide #Robotaxi when requesting a qualifying ride on the #Uber app. WeRide currently operates the largest robotaxi fleet in the UAE, where residents can access its services through the TXAI app. In July 2023, WeRide was granted the UAE’s first and only national license for self-driving vehicles, enabling it to test and operate its autonomous vehicles on public roads across the entire country. #autonomousdriving #urbantransportation

On Sept. 10th, WeRide in collaboration with the #Hengqin #GuangdongMacaoIndepthCooperationZone, officially launched the second Robobus paid service in South China. This also marks the first batch of Robobus commercial operation projects since the establishment of the Hengqin Zone. Since July 2023, WeRide Robobus has initiated its passenger-carrying demonstration test in the Hengqin zone, followed by obtaining remote high-level autonomous driving road test qualifications in March of this year, accumulating over 100,000 kilometers of autonomous driving and serving more than 20,000 passengers. The approval achieved today to commercially operate #Robobus in Hengqin Zone once again showcases the maturity and replicability of our business model, and WeRide's remarkable speed in commercialization. #WeRide #AutonomousDriving #Commercialoperation

We have officially launched WeRide #Robosweeper S1 in Shantou, Guangdong! This marks the city's first L4-level autonomous sanitation project and the debut of our Robosweeper S1 in the greater eastern Guangdong region. Released in April this year, WeRide Robosweeper S1 is the world's first L4-level driverless sanitation equipment capable of full-scene coverage for open roads. In a report by the Shantou Daily, sanitation worker Cheng Longchao told reporters: "This vehicle is not afraid of high temperatures or cold, improving the quality of sanitation work and reducing the intensity of cleaning operations, thus lessening the burden on us sanitation workers." #AutonomousDriving #SmartCities #WeRide #SmartSanitation #urbansanitation

On August 17th, we're honored to host H.E. Cao Zhongming, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Singapore, as he experienced WeRide #Robobus in Resorts World Sentosa. Ambassador Cao stated that as a global autonomous driving technology company, WeRide's acquisition of autonomous driving licenses in Singapore and the launch of operational routes reflect the recognition of its technology and business model by the Singaporean government and industry. Today, we had the rare privilege of riding on an autonomous shuttle at Resorts World Sentosa (RWS). The WeRide Robobus, developed by WeRide, is making waves with its cutting-edge technology. The Robobus relies on SiReNT (Singapore Satellite Positioning Reference Network) RTK (Real-Time Kinematics) provided by the Singapore Land Authority for precise and absolute positioning and navigation. This advanced technique corrects any drift encountered by the other sensors that propagate relative postioning, as well as ensuring accurate and reliable autonomous driving in adverse weather conditions. Operating on a publicly accessible road, the Robobus covers a 1.2-kilometer route with four stops. Passengers enjoy a swift 12-minute journey, marking a significant step toward integrating autonomous vehicles onto our public roads.
