Big moves at LAX! We’ve achieved another significant milestone in the Midfield Satellite Concourse (MSC) South project! Utilizing an innovative construction technique called Offsite Construction and Relocation (OCR), relocation of nine segments across the airfield is underway. As temporary runway closures begin around midnight, a scheduled segment is carefully transported to the project site using two Self-Propelled Modular Transports (SPMT) from Mammoet. This segment embarks on a 1.75-mile journey at a controlled speed of approximately 1.5 miles per hour. Together with Los Angeles World Airports and our project team members, the OCR method has allowed unprecedented levels of operational flexibility and workforce inclusion, with minimal impacts to airport operations. We proudly celebrate the successful delivery and installation of the 3rd segment! Relocating the remaining six segments will continue throughout October, with construction at the site progressing through 2025. MSC South will add approximately 150,000 SF and eight gates for narrowbody aircraft to the West Gates at Tom Bradley International Terminal. We have broken ground! Commemorating the first of many milestones, we celebrated the groundbreaking of North Fork Rancheria Casino in Madera, CA! At this memorable ceremony, we heard Fred Beihn, tribal chairman for North Fork Mono Indians of California, talk about how exciting this new development will be for the community and tribe. Our team is excited to start building this new 100,000 SF casino with 13,100 SF of high-limit gaming. This casino will be inside a 242,00 SF?structural steel?building on a 61-acre site. Some of the first-class amenities include 10 restaurants and dining options, four bars, and retail space.
