On Friday, October 11th, the Wentworth AGC Student Chapter proudly hosted the Second Annual AGC MA Student Chapter Summit. We were pleased to welcome representatives from the UMass AGC and Franklin Cummings Tech AGC Student Chapters to Wentworth Institute of Technology for a day of networking, collaboration, and learning, with lunch generously sponsored by AGC MA In the afternoon, members from all three student chapters had the unique opportunity to participate in a site visit to the South Station Tower project, currently under construction by Suffolk Construction. The visit was led by Suffolk Assistant Project Manager Emily Quach who, along with the Suffolk project team, provided valuable insights into the project and answered students’ questions. A special thanks to Wentworth alumnus Adam Fyrer from Suffolk for facilitating the connection, and to Suffolk Assistant Superintendent and recent Wentworth graduate Jason Buck, for engaging with students during the visit. The day concluded with a social event hosted by AGC MA and the AGC-MA Construction Leadership Council (CLC) at SPIN-Boston. This informal gathering allowed students to network in a relaxed setting while enjoying games of ping-pong. We extend our sincere thanks to Lisa Frisbie and AGC MA for their sponsorship of the Summit, as well as to the entire Suffolk Construction team for their time and generosity in supporting this valuable learning experience.
