Wunsch, we are proud to celebrate the achievements, contributions and history of Hispanic and Latine cultures during National Hispanic Heritage Month. Our celebrations included a video series featuring employees reflecting on the meaning of their Hispanic backgrounds; a keynote speaker who explored employee engagement and cultural enrichment; a luncheon featuring Latin foods and a special Mango Tajin Frosty; and a flamenco dance experience by Griset Damas Roche, director of the Columbus-based U Will Dance Studio. WCD is one of seven employee-led groups that provide opportunities for members and allies to connect.

We’re excited to grow our Restaurant Support team as we continue to expand our brand across the globe! We recently hosted nearly 50 new team members at our headquarters in Dublin, Ohio, providing them with opportunities to learn about our different business functions, create relationships with other new hires at Wendy’s and Quality Supply Chain Co-op, Inc., and network with Company leadership. The Wendy’s Company announced today that Rebel Foods, the master franchise holder for Wendy's in India, opened its 160th Wendy’s restaurant. This milestone marks new Wendy’s openings across more than 25 cities in India in just 36 months. The Rebel team is committed to significantly expanding their Wendy’s restaurant footprint, with plans to open a couple dozen additional Wendy’s restaurants in India by the end of this year. That’s a wrap on Wendy’s annual Frosty 5K Run for Adoption! This year, 1,600 Wendy’s Company employees, Quality Supply Chain Co-op, Inc. associates, franchisees, supplier partners, restaurant team members, and fans participated in our virtual race presented by Pure Life, a BlueTriton Brands brand. Together, we raised $200,000 for the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption to help find permanent, loving homes for children waiting in foster care. At our 2024 Convention, Wendy’s Company employees, franchisees, supplier partners, Top GMs and Quality Supply Chain Co-op, Inc. associates gathered for Wendy’s Family Night to celebrate and raise funds for the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption and its signature program, Wendy’s Wonderful Kids. Together, we raised more than $2 million to help find forever families for children waiting in foster care! Wendy’s and the Foundation share a rich, storied history. Last week, we hosted a special event called “Fresh Games” for a day of fun, camaraderie and friendly competition at our Restaurant Support Center in Dublin, Ohio. Eight teams of Wendy’s and Quality Supply Chain Co-op, Inc. employees, each captained by a senior leader, competed in a variety of games including cornhole, ping pong, Mario Kart, trivia, euchre and more. A big thanks to everyone who made this day a success including our more than 300 competitors and spectators, and a special thank you to the planning team, volunteers, and food sponsors. The competition was tough, but President, International E.J. Wunsch's team came out on top… congratulations!?

Last week, Wendy’s Director of Public Affairs Allison DeRoberts joined the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption in Washington, D.C. at a Congressional Roundtable on Adoption-Friendly Workplaces to discuss the importance of workplace benefits for adoptive families. Wendy’s signature cause is foster care adoption, and we’ll continue to advocate for workplace adoption benefits, like financial reimbursement and paid leave, while partnering with the Foundation to find a permanent, loving home for every child waiting in foster care.??
