The School District 49 new Transportation Facility is complete! Built on an existing district property located between Highway 24 and Falcon Highway, the new facility includes a 34,000-square-foot Operations/Maintenance building with office space, training areas, work bays, and a secure, fenced bus parking lot for 175 buses. The facility is large enough for D49 to continue to grow and expand. Our team had a wonderful time celebrating the official opening of the new facility at the ribbon cutting earlier this month, and we’re happy to continue supporting D49! The project reconstruction is targeted at +25M and the procurement documents are nearing completion and are targeted to be issued in early September. When the new school year starts, students at Ersilia Cruz Middle School and Dolores Huerta Preparatory High in Pueblo School District 60 will learn and grow in new and improved school buildings! Thanks to $30.1 million in BEST Grant funding, CHAVEZ HUERTA K-12 PREPARATORY ACADEMY (which includes Cruz Middle School, Huerta High School, and César Chávez Academy) has a new middle school addition to the existing high school and extensive updates and renovations were made to the existing high school.
