At WellTech, we were used to squirrels, raccoons, and the usual suburban wildlife. But a chicken? That was a new one. Sarah, in scheduling, immediately dispatched our wildlife team. When they arrived, they found a ruffled, hen, pacing anxiously by the pool's edge. You know, the Florida lifestyle has everyone trying to take a dip in a pool or the ocean now and then. Sometimes even wildlife wants to get in on the action. We weren't sure if she wanted to cool off or to join a swim team? Either way, she didn't belong there. After a few careful maneuvers, our WellTech wildlife team managed to coax her into a carrier. We weren't sure where the chicken came from, or how on earth it showed up at the swimming pool. Our multifamily housing customer was happy for us to remove the clucker. She was brought to our headquarters, where Sarah in scheduling got to meet our Floridian sunbather. She was a gentle soul, this chicken. Sarah believed this feathered find needed much more than a relocation, but perhaps a good home. And to Sarah's surprise, the very next morning, a warm, fresh egg lay in her makeshift nest. And then, another. And another. Day after day, she gifted Sarah's family. Today the hen has a growing flock of chicks, and is enjoying her new lifestyle. Sarah is wary of her taking off to consider a dip in a neighbor's pool, but so far she seems content.
