This month we're celebrating one year since Wellstar MCG Health Medical Center, Wellstar Children's Hospital of Georgia, and Wellstar Georgia Cancer Center joined the Wellstar family and we began our partnership with Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University. Together, we're bringing PeopleCare—expert, compassionate care tailored to every patient, every time—to even more Georgians.

WellFarm, a vertical hydroponic farm at Wellstar's headquarters, is our latest effort to improve our community through sustainability. The farm is housed in a 40-foot upcycled shipping container and has the capacity to produce over 200 pounds of produce each week. Today, we held a launch event for our team members and leaders to see this new Catalyst by Wellstar initiative, meet our WellFarmer Patrick John and sample some food with fresh ingredients from the hydroponic farm. Wellstar is leading the way in the placement of ear tubes without the need for general anesthesia. TULA (tubes under local anesthesia) is an innovative procedure that can be performed in the physician's office.
