From sharing how WellSort can help #highered staff support their students' #mentalhealth, #wellbeing, and #success; to presenting an interactive card sort session for helping college staff and faculty tend to their OWN well-being and #worklifebalance; to attending sessions about how to help #collegestudents connect to programs and to each other to combat #lonliness; to visiting my favorite spots in #burlingtonvermont (I may have eaten at New World Tortilla twice in two days ??), it was an outstanding event and opportunity to connect and learn. As a?#counselor?and former?#qualitative?researcher, I am all about words, experiences, context, and?#stories. So in the spirit of the power of words, I've compiled some of my very favorite words in the little holiday video below ?? When I envisioned and started building?Balanced Card Sorts?in 2020, I knew I wanted to create simple tools to help people sort out what, specifically, they want and need to promote their own?#balance,?#fulfillment, and?#wellbeing. What's so amazing about card sorts is that they are essentially just words on cards - but when you give someone time, space, and permission to use and organize those words, develop language to tell their story, and make meaning of their own experience, powerful things happen! I am so grateful for the incredible support, encouragment, and partnership we've received at?Balanced Card Sorts?this past year. With over 20 colleges and universities, 15 high schools, and dozens of career and mental health counselors and coaches using our tools in various capacities across the US (and the world!), I know we're onto to something good! I couldn't be more proud of this work, our team, and the small part we get to play in helping students and employees prioritize their mental health, happiness, and well-being.
