Check out Wellogy Principal and CFO, Matt Canterna in this recent post about the design of Knowlton School at OSU!
"The building is really one continuous volume, and when you look at how the ramp navigates that space, it forces you to immerse yourself into the language and design process that's going on in each and every studio." Matt Canterna, AIA (BSArch ’07, MArch ’09), Principal and CFO at Wellogy in Columbus, Ohio. --- In honor of the 20th anniversary of Knowlton Hall, we spoke to some of those responsible for its creation and to those who use the building every day.

Welcome to the team, Aleah! Aleah Springer is a versatile architect with a passion for how design can bring people together. With a Bachelor's and Master’s degree in Architecture from The Ohio State University, Knowlton School, Aleah brings a strong academic foundation coupled with practical experience to every project she undertakes. Aleah’s diverse project portfolio includes historic renovations, community-focused public spaces, and mixed-use developments. Her approach to architecture is rooted in the belief that spaces should not only be functional but also foster connections among people. This philosophy guided her during her three years of teaching early design studio coursework at the Knowlton School, where she inspired future architects to think creatively about the impact of their work.

We turned up the heat at Wellogy’s 2nd Annual Smoke-Off at our favorite Dublin park! Our staff went grill-to-grill in a sizzling showdown for the ultimate trophy and, of course, those all-important bragging rights. It was a close call, but Tristan smoked the competition to take home the title of Wellogy G.O.A.T. Can’t wait to see who’ll reign supreme next year as we keep this tasty tradition alive!

Wellogy collaborated with The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine to design a new facility for diagnosing equine lameness. Previously, these diagnoses were conducted in a barn breezeway. The newly enclosed arena supports year-round use and offers an open-air observation area for clients. The Ralph Rogan Equine Performance Evaluation Arena is a part of OSU's Galbreath Equine Center and enhances equine care with advanced diagnostic capabilities. It features diverse surfaces, optimal lighting, and multi-function rooms, allowing for precise gait evaluations in realistic settings. The arena also provides an invaluable learning space for students and residents, allowing for the demonstration and practice of diagnostic and treatment techniques in a controlled environment, thereby enhancing the educational experience. The ability to observe horses in a variety of conditions, including under saddle, jumping, replicates the environments in which issues may arise. This comprehensive observation capability reduces the reliance on client-provided videos and enhances the reliability of the diagnosis. The arena includes a no-dust, specialized synthetic sand-like footing and a non-slip asphalt jogging strip that mimic competition conditions, providing a realistic and familiar setting for both horse and rider. This design facilitates a more precise assessment of the horse's movement. Educational facilities, including a learning conference room, provide hands-on training for students and residents. Funded by a generous donor, this state-of-the-art facility ensures that Midwest equine receive top-tier, compassionate care. It also honors the legacy of Ralph Rogan, a dedicated American Saddlebred Horse enthusiast.
