Meet Allison Wenclawski, MA, LCSW, Associate Director of Programs at Wellness House. Allison is responsible for overseeing and helping to grow the counseling and support group programming at Wellness House. Allison also enjoys her direct work with participants, facilitating weekly and monthly support groups, providing supportive counseling for participants, and working with Wellness House’s hospital partners to provide psychosocial support within medical settings. Allison joined Wellness House in early 2022, having worked in a medical social work role for several years. Allison has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Illinois and a Master of the Arts in Social Work from the University of Chicago. Happy 3rd Anniversary, Allison. Meet Nevada Bennett, LCPC, Oncology Support and Family Counselor at Wellness House. Nevada provides individual, group, and family psychosocial support to adults, children, and families affected by cancer. Nevada joined Wellness House in 2020 and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Concordia University Chicago and a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Concordia University Chicago. Meet Ellen Nieman, Associate Director of Programs at Wellness House. Ellen is responsible for overseeing Information and Education programs, participant engagement, and evaluation of programs in order to provide quality programs and processes for all participants. Ellen joined the Wellness House team in 2016 and holds a Bachelor of Science in social work degree from Saint Louis University, and Master of Social Work and Master of Arts in Pastoral Ministry degrees from Boston College. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a member of the National Association of Social Workers. Because of her belief in the importance of caring for the whole person for the promotion of healing and resilience, Ellen is grateful to work in a place where that compassionate care happens every day.
