The TB outbreak in Kansas is more than a public health crisis—it’s a stark reminder of the systemic vulnerabilities that persist in our healthcare infrastructure. Cracks in population health, widened by socioeconomic disparities, leave the most vulnerable at risk. While TB is preventable and treatable, a weakened public health response only exacerbates its spread. Wellness Equity Alliance stands firm in the belief that health equity requires robust, well-supported public health systems. Investing in foundational social and economic conditions isn’t just a policy choice—it’s a necessity to prevent crises like this. The coordination between national and local health entities must be strengthened, not diminished, to protect those most at risk. Now is the time to reinforce—not erode—the structures that safeguard public health. #HealthEquity #PublicHealth #TBPrevention

Join us in advancing health equity—because care should be a right, not a privilege. #HealthEquity #WEA

As Southern California grapples with the largest wildfire in #LosAngeles history, we recognize the immense hardship faced by those impacted. Thousands of families are being displaced, and for many, the challenges are compounded by homelessness. These fires are devastating not only in their scale but in how they disproportionately affect our most vulnerable populations. At Wellness Equity Alliance, we remain committed to providing care for the unhoused in LA, even in the midst of this crisis. Our street medicine services continue to operate, providing healthcare and essential community support to individuals experiencing homelessness. For some, the loss they’re experiencing feels insurmountable. We stand in solidarity with our team members and the communities we serve. Together, we will continue to offer resources, healthcare, and a sense of stability during this difficult time. Our thoughts are with everyone impacted, and we encourage all to stay safe. #Community #Solidarity #SouthernCalifornia #WildfireRelief #HomelessnessAwareness #HealthcareForAll
