As we wrap up 2024, we wanted to look back on a year filled with meaningful partnerships, successful projects, and a shared commitment to driving positive change for the communities we serve. This year, we strengthened relationships with long-standing partners, built new collaborations, and delivered impactful programmes that supported individuals, enhanced teams, and helped organisations create lasting community benefits. Delivered leadership development programmes, workshops, and coaching that helped teams build confidence, improve collaboration, and achieve their goals. Facilitated strategic partnerships across sectors, advancing projects in housing, health innovation, and organisational development. Hosted landmark events, including the launch of the Surrey Paper at the Healthy City Conference, the first #BeMore Networking Breakfast, and a True North Round Table focused on unlocking the Northern economy’s potential. Supported future-focused initiatives such as the Waverley Insight House and critical work with Cancer Alliances. We are thankful to all our partners and collaborators for their continued trust and shared vision. Your partnership drives our mission of supporting great people to build great places where communities can thrive. As we look forward to 2025, we’re excited to build on this year’s successes, expand our reach, and create new opportunities for collaboration. In October, we held a panel at the Healthy Cities Design Conference, where we launched our new report: Lets Start with People: Health Innovation in Surrey. Insights from leaders like Robert White, Neil Orpwood, Lord Andrew Mawson, Liz Towns-Andrews OBE, Atul Patel, and Rachael Baker highlighted how creative, community-centred solutions are already driving meaningful change: ?? Shifting essential services from hospitals to community spaces, making healthcare more accessible where people live. ?? Creating hubs that combine health, leisure, and education to foster holistic community resilience. ?? Partnering with businesses, faith groups, and educational institutions to tackle social determinants of health together. Join us this Thursday at our #BeMore Breakfast Online Networking Event to explore these ideas further, connect with changemakers, and be inspired by real stories from the Surrey Paper and lets talk about how creativity and collaboration are vital to solving society’s biggest health challenges. ?? When we talk about health, we’re looking beyond hospitals and clinics. It’s about the environments we live in, the connections we share, and the purpose that brings us together. Over the past six years, our work in North West Surrey Health and Care Alliance—alongside Ashford and St. Peter's Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, the NW Surrey Alliance, HLM Architects, and local organisations like Tribe—has shown what’s possible when health becomes part of everyday life. By bringing together public services, businesses, and social organisations, we’ve reimagined what’s achievable through collaboration. At our #BeMore Breakfast, we’ll explore the stories, insights, and partnerships behind this work, all captured in our new report, ‘Let’s Start with People – Creating a Health Innovation System in Surrey': https://lnkd.in/erKAYPsV This is an opportunity to discuss how cross-sector collaboration has not just transformed services but reshaped lives—offering practical recommendations for scaling impact and driving change. Date: 11th December 2024 Time: 8:00 AM – 9:30 AM Location: Online We’ll reflect on how innovative, people-first thinking can influence placemaking and create healthier, stronger communities. Your insights would add so much to this conversation. Space is limited, so register now via Eventbrite—we’d love for you to join us. https://lnkd.in/eCuzZre4 #HealthInnovation #Placemaking #Collaboration

Building sustainable, healthy communities requires more than just healthcare. As highlighted by our panel at the #HealthyCitiesDesign Conference, sustainable health outcomes rely on integrating care systems with housing, education, and the local economy. The Surrey Paper illustrates this transformation through: Partnerships with businesses, local councils, and faith groups that drive innovation in healthcare delivery. A shift from hospital-centric care to community-led health and wellbeing hubs. New primary care facilities designed with a focus on prevention, wellbeing, and social cohesion. Discover how we’re applying this in North West Surrey by reading the Surrey Paper: https://lnkd.in/epuX-uHb #SurreyPaperLaunch #CommunityHealth #EntrepreneurialSolutions #IntegratedCareSystems #HCD24 #HCDCongress #360Impact
