At WELL, we’re building the community, resources, and programs women in digital health need to step powerfully into leadership. When I joined my first startup, I felt isolated and unsure where to turn for guidance—not just about navigating my career but also about understanding the business and leadership skills I needed to thrive. I started reaching out to other women in digital health—grabbing coffee, meeting for walks, and having honest conversations about our shared challenges. Those connections changed everything for me: my career, my confidence, and my ability to grow as a leader. Those early connections eventually became WELL: the community I needed back then, and still rely on today. Now, I’m inviting you to be part of it. Next week, I’m hosting a?free live webinar?where I’ll share how WELL’s?new membership?is designed to help women in digital health: ? Build meaningful connections with peers and industry leaders ? Gain business knowledge and practical skills tailored to digital health ? Professional development programs to grow faster and with confidence ? Tap into curated tools and resources to get real-world results We’ll also hear real stories from WELL members about how this community has accelerated their careers and empowered their leadership journeys. ???December 18th at 12 PM ET This is your chance to learn how WELL’s membership can transform your career. Digital health needs to hear more women’s voices. Amplifying women’s perspectives in healthcare innovation creates a positive ripple effect—better ideas, stronger communities, and effective solutions that change lives. Our community, content, and programs at WELL are designed to support our mission of promoting gender equity in digital health leadership. We believe that the hard work of improving healthcare is better together. And our members agree! We asked what’s been most valuable about being part of our community, and here’s what we heard: ??”The webinars [and] one-off opportunities to learn. This has been huge as I navigate the academia-to-industry transition…” Emily Bernstein, Associate Director, Psychology at Flagship Labs 105 ??”Building a network with like-minded women navigating career paths in digital health.” ??”Connecting with other like-minded women! The niche factor of female scientists or people who care about science in health technology and product is what makes WELL powerful. I feel like you can ask questions from others and get high quality responses for resources, advice or support.” Katie Donohue McMillan, MPH, CEO, Well Made Health, LLC How are you supporting women in our industry? “Having the opportunity to shift from an academic clinical setting, to an early-stage startup, lit something up inside of me…” I sat down with Pam Fox Rollin and Amy Vodarek, MScN, PCC, hosts of the Missing Conversations podcast, to chat about Navigating Priorities: Building Trust and Collaboration in Healthcare Innovation Teams. Something that really stuck out to me was our conversation about my time at Headspace. I had built out a team of scientists and clinicians, who were working closely with product teams across different businesses, and everyone was focused on the same mission: how do we build products that will help people stress less, sleep better and improve their mental health. A main challenge and theme that emerged during this time has since become central to my work: When you bring together diverse groups of people, we think about the work differently; and the values and priorities that we assume are central, often are not. ?For example, when working with scientists and clinicians, there's often a "gold standard" for how things should be done.? ?While on the product management side, it's about learning from users, moving quickly, and iterating. And a big challenge is helping both mindsets meet in the middle and understand the importance of each approach. But what does that look like? Well, for scientists and clinicians, this might mean thinking about how we can be more flexible and build something new, while still offering opinions on where the absolute lines are. And on the product side, it’s about emphasizing what’s on the line, or the responsibility we carry, when we’re building a healthcare product and dealing with the health and well-being of real customers. In this episode, we also covered:? ?The importance of building trust within a team and what that requires. ?The need to set boundaries to prevent burnout.? ?The importance of empowering women’s voices in healthcare innovation and how WELL’s mission supports that. Give the full episode a listen, using the link below (https://lnkd.in/eusPGBn3) and share your thoughts or takeaways in the comments section below.
