This event is for WELD Members only! There are seven days left to register! The revenues and assets of many large nonprofit companies can rival those of some private companies. Serving on the boards of these large nonprofits may provide valuable and unique opportunities to build one’s governance skills, assume board leadership roles and expand one’s network beyond one’s immediate region. Service on large nonprofit boards can also provide board members opportunities to increase their skills in strategic planning, financial oversight, policy development and decision making in large organizations. Board dynamics and navigating ethical considerations may also be more complex. All of these benefits may prove to be invaluable governance skills building on the journey to for-profit company board service. WELD is thrilled to have Lonni L. Dieck, Lead Independent Director for SERC Reliability Corporation, as our March C-suite series speaker on Building Governance Skills through Large Nonprofit Company Board Service. Joining the session to interview Ms. Dieck is Amy Franko, Founder & CEO of Amy Franko Associates. Ms. Franko will guide a fast-paced, content rich conversation, addressing the following areas with Ms. Dieck: ?The role that industry knowledge and connections played in obtaining her current board seat ?Strategies to build strong rapport and relationships with board members ?How she prepared herself to become lead independent director ?The benefits of large nonprofit board service in preparing you for for-profit company board service ?How “boardroom emotional intelligence and boardroom dynamics” differ in the larger organizational setting Learn more and register here: https://lnkd.in/d5pxEpQa #WELDUSA #Webinar #Careerdevelopment #LeadershipDevelopment #JoinWeld
