As we honor Black History Month, we recognize the rich contributions, resilience, and culture of Black Americans—especially in the City of Brotherly Love, a city deeply woven into the fabric of our nation’s history. We are proud to partner with the African American Museum in Philadelphia during Wawa Welcome America to include the commemoration of Juneteenth - celebrating the lives, voices and experiences of Black Americans through art, culture, history and live performance. Also, new to our festival last year was the Celebration of Black Music Month at The Dell Music Center, a concert celebrating different expressions of black music. Last week our team kicked off the holiday season at the 6abc WPVI-TV Philadelphia presents: The City of Philadelphia's Tree Lighting Celebration in partnership with Bank of America. Featuring stunning performances by Liamani Segura and Keyshia Cole! We had a fantastic weekend of free holiday cheer on the Wawa, Inc. Holiday Plaza including our Holiday Happy sponsored by Tito's Handmade Vodka on Friday, and Deck The Paws sponsored by Tito's Handmade Vodka on Saturday.
