Thank you to Fleet and Family of Mayport Naval Station for inviting Wekiva Springs Center to their Prevention and Wellness Fair earlier this week! We are honored to be a resource to active-duty military and their families. We look forward to continuing our work together to provide essential metal health and substance use treatment!

Chelsea Lewis, Business Development Representative, attended the OutEast Mental Health Expo at The First Baptist Church of Oakland last week! This community event, created by JaxCareConnect, aimed to raise awareness about mental health, break the stigma surrounding these topics and connect our community with valuable resources and support. Thank you for allowing Wekiva to be part of this day!

Thank you to everyone who participated in our annual Women's Symposium! We had a great turnout comprised of both clinicians and allied health professionals. Diane Clark from Hubbard House, Inc. and Hope Timoney from the Women's Center of Jacksonville both provided incredible education on domestic violence and Trauma-Informed Care. We'd also like to give a special thank you to all of our community resources who tabled this event. We are already looking forward to next year!

This month, we celebrate the invaluable contributions of social workers in our communities. Their dedication and advocacy are essential to the work we do. By taking a holistic approach, they consider not only an individual’s psychological well-being but also their social environment, economic status and support systems. Social workers provide life-changing support to those in need. As we celebrate this month, we recognize and support the social workers who make a difference in the lives of our patients every day! #SocialWorkMonth

Our Admissions team had a great time delivering St. Patrick's Day treats to our patients yesterday. Lamece, Charis, Katrina and our Admissions Director, Kimberly, never miss an opportunity to dress up and celebrate!

Trish Doran, Business Development Representative, not only attended the Women Veterans Ignited Fair in Nassau County this past weekend, she also went shopping and donated food for this event on behalf of Wekiva Springs Center! Providing this support is such an honor, and we are proud to be one of many resources available to our women veterans.

Our Business Development team was busy yesterday making connections and supporting our community! Chelsea Lewis (left) attended the quarterly NFPLA meeting, fostering relationships with many other substance use disorder programs here in the North Florida area. Trish Doran (right) tabled the 'From Brokenness to Recovery' panel hosted by Uplift St. Johns, focusing on resources for women in recovery.

It was such an honor to attend the 2025 North Florida First Responder and Law Enforcement Summit, presented by Project Opioid. We applaud the amazing efforts of these men and women to stay educated on substance use disorders, life-saving medications and the treatment options available in our community. We are proud to be a partner in this fight against opioid abuse!
