$40 million says AI is coming for the music industry. Bria, a major player in generative AI, just secured a huge funding round. They have already built cutting-edge AI tools for image and video creation. Now they are turning their focus to music. AI-generated music is not new, but this level of investment changes the game. Companies want scalable, cost-effective ways to produce soundtracks, ads, and branded experiences. Bria is stepping up to provide those solutions. This raises big questions. Will AI replace human musicians, or will it be a tool for creativity? How will the industry handle licensing and copyright? The conversation is just getting started. Bria is betting that businesses want AI-powered music at scale. With this funding, they are in a strong position to lead the charge. Ever wonder why so many talented musicians struggle to make a sustainable career in the industry? It is not just about talent. Understanding the business side of music is just as important as creating great songs. That is where BMI’s Spark program comes in. BMI’s Spark program is giving musicians the education and tools they need to navigate the music industry. This initiative is designed to help songwriters, composers, and producers gain valuable knowledge. It offers resources that can improve their careers. The program focuses on several key areas. Musicians learn about copyright, royalties, and contracts. These topics are critical for anyone looking to sustain a career in music. Many artists struggle to understand the business side of their work. Spark provides clear guidance on how to protect their rights and maximize earnings. BMI brings in industry professionals to share insights. Experts from different fields offer practical advice. They explain how royalties are collected and distributed. They also discuss licensing opportunities and how musicians can get paid for their work. These sessions help artists develop a strong foundation in music business essentials. The program also covers branding and marketing. Musicians today need more than just talent. They must know how to promote themselves effectively. Spark teaches strategies for building an audience and engaging with fans. Artists learn how to use social media and digital platforms to grow their presence. The goal is to help them stand out in a competitive industry. Networking is another key feature. Spark connects musicians with industry leaders and peers. These connections can lead to collaborations and career opportunities. Building relationships in the music business is just as important as creating great songs. The program encourages artists to make meaningful connections. One of the biggest advantages of Spark is accessibility. BMI offers online resources so musicians can participate from anywhere. The program includes webinars, articles, and video content. These tools allow artists to learn at their own pace. BMI also hosts live events where musicians can interact with experts in person. For independent artists, this program is especially valuable. Many do not have managers or record labels to guide them. Spark helps them navigate the industry with confidence. It equips them with the knowledge needed to handle contracts, negotiate deals, and understand their rights. Broadcast Music, Inc. Have you ever found yourself in a conversation where no matter what you said, it just wasn’t landing the way you intended? A decade ago, on paper, everything looked like it was falling into place. ?? My first company was growing rapidly — financially thriving, multiple acquisitions, exciting new connections, traveling to incredible places. ??? It was the kind of success I had always envisioned. ?? I even remember a family member saying, "You're living the life of your dreams!" When I heard that I wanted to pull my hair out. ?? What she didn't know and couldn't have seen was how incredibly chaotic everything seemed. Uncertain. Unsettled. We had just had a baby. Then, unexpectedly, another. We needed to move. ?? We were navigating shifts in our relationship, in our identities as parents, as partners, as individuals trying to keep up with everything changing at once. And in some of our most important conversations — the tender ones, the frustrating ones, the ones where we felt misunderstood or unseen — it wasn’t the experienced, capable, successful adults showing up... It was our younger selves. The inner-child versions of us. ?? The parts of us that still carried fears, insecurities, and unmet needs. The parts that didn’t just want logic and solutions, but to feel safe, loved, and understood. At first, we were speaking to each other as adults, trying to reason through things logically — but it wasn’t working. Until we realized: we needed to connect first at the heart level. ?? The moment we started recognizing when our inner children were the ones showing up in these emotionally charged moments — and leading with love, seeking first to understand before being understood, and nurturing the most tender versions of each other — everything changed. We felt closer. We were closer. Our conflicts resolved faster and with more compassion. And we realized how often our inner child wasn’t just showing up in our marriage, but in everyday interactions, decisions, and responses to life itself. The more we leaned into connecting at the heart-level first, the stronger we became. And it’s something I see in so many of the incredible people I work with — our past experiences don’t disappear; they influence how we move through life. And when we recognize that, and really get to know that part of ourselves, and not only make room for it, but welcome it and learn from it and embrace it with love...everything shifts. ? Where have you noticed your inner child showing up in your own life? ?? #InnerChildHealing #heartcenteredleadership #consciousleadership #Connection #Growth #tea #humanconnection ????: @justnthmoment IG

In today’s digital age, music plays a pivotal role in enhancing the effectiveness of meditation and wellness apps. Leading companies like Calm, Headspace, Neurofit, and CloudFit have harnessed the power of sound to elevate user experiences. Calm offers daily original meditations, music for focus and sleep, and guided sleep stories. It’s praised for its diverse features but has limited free content. Headspace is ideal for learning meditation with bite-sized sessions and mindfulness exercises. However, many features require a premium subscription. Neurofit, a mental wellness app developed by Andrew and Loren Hogue, combines AI and neuroscience to combat chronic stress. The app leverages somatic exercises, emphasizing conscious movement to enhance the mind-body connection. CloudFit, an AI-powered holistic health platform, offers personalized fitness, nutrition, and sleep programs. Developed by co-founders Kristian Phillips and Inid Leksina, the app adapts to user inputs, including body measurements, goals, and available equipment. Integrating music into these platforms has proven to enhance relaxation, deepen focus, and support emotional well-being. As technology continues to evolve, the synergy between music and mindfulness will undoubtedly strengthen, offering users enriched experiences. Want to get booked more? Your skills matter, but your business approach matters more. Networking is everything. Who you know will often determine your opportunities. Event organizers, club owners, and corporate clients book DJs they trust. Stay in touch with past clients, follow up after events, and engage with industry professionals online. People remember those who build genuine connections. Branding is key. Your name, logo, and online presence should be professional. Invest in quality promotional materials. Clients want to hire someone who takes their business seriously. Know your worth. Many DJs undercharge because they do not understand pricing. Research industry standards and set rates that reflect your value. Contracts protect your business. A written agreement prevents misunderstandings and ensures clear expectations. Expand your income. Private events, weddings, and corporate gigs pay well. Selling merchandise, offering DJ lessons, and producing music can create additional revenue. Relying on one income stream is risky. Treat your DJ career like a business. Build relationships, stay professional, and diversify your income. Success comes to those who understand that strategy matters as much as talent. DJs, your cartridge can make or break your set. The right one keeps your mixes clean and your scratches sharp. The wrong one can lead to skips, weak sound, and frustration. If you want top performance, here are three of the best DJ cartridges. Shure M44-7 – A legend in turntablism. It has high output and strong tracking. Many scratch DJs still search for it even though it’s discontinued. Ortofon Concorde MKII Scratch – Designed for battle DJs. It connects directly to the tonearm and delivers powerful bass. It holds the groove no matter how hard you cut. Audio-Technica AT-XP7 – A great balance of price and performance. It has an elliptical stylus that keeps sound clean. Works well for mixing and scratching. Your choice depends on your style. Scratch DJs need high tracking force and durability. Club DJs may prefer a balanced sound. No matter what, invest in quality and take care of your gear. What’s your go-to cartridge? #DJ #Ortofon #ShureM447 #AudioTechnica #MusicTech

Some people DJ for fun. Others do it for a living. The difference is not just about skill. It is about mindset, commitment, and investment. A hobby DJ spins for the love of music. They mix at home, play for friends, or DJ small events. They might go weeks without touching their setup. There is no pressure. No deadlines. No need to make money from it. It is all about enjoyment. A pro DJ treats DJing like a business. They invest in top-quality gear. They practice daily. They study their craft. They book gigs, build a brand, and network to grow. They understand how to read a crowd. They know how to keep energy high. They handle pressure and adapt in real time. One is not better than the other. Both come from a love of music. Some hobby DJs go pro. Some pros still DJ for fun. The difference is in the approach. Are you a hobby DJ or a pro DJ?
