I’m excited to share that Well-being and Equity (WE) in the World is leading a new initiative with support from RWJF called Just Leaders for a Just Health System (JUSTICE SQUARED). They are now accepting proposals for this two-year program that provides leaders with the tools, community support, and resources to advance racially just healthcare. This incredible opportunity will promote collaboration among community partners and healthcare organizations, shared responsibility and power, and accountability to communities most harmed by inequities. Selected teams will receive hands-on guidance from experts in racial justice and systems change as they work together to make organizational policies and practices more equitable. January 15, 2025 is the due date for Phase 1 proposals. To eliminate the health inequities that persist in our society, we must identify and tackle the root causes of these inequities — including structural racism. Part of our work must be helping people see how structural racism is embedded in healthcare systems. Because once you see it, you can’t unsee it. But until you see it, it’s moving past you in invisible ways.? ? I’m excited to announce a new program to support leaders, inside and outside the healthcare system, who are committed to seeing the invisible ways that structural racism has created barriers to health and wellbeing—and are ready to work together to dismantle it. How Racial Bias in Lab Testing Impacts AI in Healthcare

We all want to access healthcare when we need it, feel seen and heard by our providers, and know that we can cover the bill. Yet discriminatory policies and practices place healthcare out of reach for some of us based on race, income, or geography. RWJF is working with partners to build a fair and just healthcare system that is accessible and affordable for all, a system that rectifies the harms it has caused in the past and prevents future harm by treating everyone with dignity and respect. We're grateful to partner with organizations that are building a healthcare system that serves all of us. From diversifying the health professions, to advocating for people in need of coverage, to providing safe birthing experiences for Black women, these partners are renewing hope in healthcare and working toward a future where health is no longer a privilege but a right. ??
