Happy National Ag Day! Today, we extend our gratitude to the farmers everywhere who are working to making the world a better place. With six generations of farming behind us, our family is proud to be part of this industry, to be good stewards of the land, to serve our community and to do what we love each and every day.

This Women's History Month, we're celebrating some of the incredible women at Weiland Farms. Today, we highlight Gabriella Martens, our production agronomist. "My advice for women working in agriculture is to be willing to learn new things and adapt. The ag industry changes quickly and often. Adapting to change and problem-solving on the fly are valuable skills here. The best way to be prepared is to learn from those around you. As a woman in a male-dominated career field like agriculture, I urge other women to be strong in their convictions. I want women to have confidence and courage to stand by their beliefs, even when faced with opposition."

Today is International Women's Day! Join us in celebrating the incredible achievements and contributions of women in agriculture, starting with our controller, Kathy Leuwerke. "As a woman working in agriculture, I have realized the importance of being flexible, staying true to your ideals and keeping in mind the long game. In agriculture, everything can turn on a dime. Learning to navigate the changes and adjusting to a new normal is challenging, as well as rewarding."
