The Colorado Convention Center Expansion project (CCCXP) has been a staple in the downtown Denver area since it first opened over three decades ago. Since 1990, Hensel Phelps has completed three expansion projects, and in 2024 the project has been recognized with the Design-Build of America National Merit Award in the Civic category. Big developments are underway on Brighton WTP! The City is expanding and upgrading its 25-year-old water treatment plant to boost capacity and meet new requirements. The $155 million project with Garney Construction (GC) will support Brighton’s growth and water reliability through 2045.?? ?? Our crew is at 18% completion and currently working on under-slab, in-slab rough ins, and lighting in multiple project areas – the project is expected to complete in December 2025. It's THROWBACK THURSDAY! In?October 2023, our crew completed Weifield’s?first ever ground-up hospital project, which marked a significant milestone in our history. The?Kimball?Hospital project with Haselden Construction in?Kimball, Nebraska was the new construction of a 61,000 sq. ft. single story hospital. The hospital includes large in-patient rooms, wide corridors, modernized and large surgical suites, and in-house CT and MRI services. We are so proud of our crew for the amazing things they accomplished?on this project, and the great work?they continue to do! #ThrowbackThursday #WeifieldWay?

Members of Weifield’s Recruiting & Water Solutions teams were excited to attend the 2024 Construction Con event this week at the Ranch Events Complex in Loveland, Colorado! Construction Con, put on by Northern Colorado Construction Sector Partnership, has become an annual tradition, drawing over 550 high school students from Northern Colorado school districts to explore exciting career opportunities in the construction industry. With support from more than 220 industry and education representatives, this hands-on event features engaging activity booths and valuable insights into various construction pathways. This year the event is also hosting neurodiverse students from TACT - Teaching the Autism Community Trades and local schools. The neurodiverse community is a vital resource for closing the skilled trades gap.
