Wegmans is celebrating the 40th anniversary of its Employee Scholarship Program. Since it began in 1984, more than 46,500 Wegmans employees have been awarded scholarships totaling $145 million. In 2024, approximately 1,500 new recipients were awarded scholarships. The company expects to pay out more than $6.5 million in tuition assistance to both new and returning scholarship recipients during the 2024-2025 school year. Superstar doesn’t feel like a big enough word to describe this month’s award recipient. “Stefan is not only a Superstar, but a hero.” Working the night shift, he found a fellow employee unconscious on the floor and immediately called for help and began CPR. Stefan not only went above and beyond, but he lived our values to the fullest that day, ultimately helping to save his coworker’s life. We feel incredibly lucky to have Stefan on our team, and we’re so grateful for his heroic actions. #wegmansproud #heroicactions #livingourvalues

?? MEET TYLER ?? Tyler Saiers is a?#PennStateLER?alumnus who earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Labor and Human Resources. He currently works as a recruiter at Wegmans Food Markets. He says his degree taught him to always consider and embrace the perspectives of others, especially those who are different from his own. In his current role he listens to his hiring managers, leadership team, and candidates to find the best fit for both the company but also the individual. Tyler advises students to “Take advantage of every opportunity Penn State and the School of LHR have to offer. There are so many unique programs and opportunities that are available to students that will provide you with the skills you need to be successful in this field.
