Our subsidiary, Healy Tibbitts Builders, is hard at work on the USACE Honolulu District’s maintenance dredging project at Honolulu Harbor, located on the southern coast of Oahu. Honolulu Harbor is the principal seaport of the state of Hawaii, and this project will ensure that commercial and recreational vessels can navigate the waterway, which is vital for the state’s economy. The scope of work for Healy Tibbitts Builders includes maintenance dredging as well as upland processing, transportation and disposal. The upland portion of the work presented the opportunity to partner with our colleagues at Kiewit. Healy Tibbitts is also coordinating with the State of Hawaii DOT – Harbors Division, another long-term client of theirs, on this project. Work is slated to be completed next month.

Weeks Marine is committed to making a positive impact in the communities in which we live and work. Recently, members of the Weeks Marine Construction team donated their time to help a local NJ veteran whose home was in need of critical repairs. Team members spent the day installing flooring and molding, and grouting tile. “Each one of us worked hard and it was a great experience giving back” remarked Tracy Rusignuolo, Administrative Assistant at our Greenville Yard located in Jersey City, NJ. Greetings from New York, NY, where it’s another beautiful day with the Weeks 575.

Weeks Marine is happy to share that we will be part of the 73-acre South Brooklyn Marine Terminal (SBMT) project. SBMT will be New York’s first purpose-built offshore wind operations and maintenance facility and will support Empire Wind 1 to deliver 810 megawatts of renewable energy – enough to power almost half a million New York homes. Our scope of work includes the rehabilitation of existing bulkheads and demolition of select bulkheads and an existing pier. We will be installing new bulkheads and a new Service Operations Vessel (SOV) wharf complete with gangways, ship fenders, and marine appurtenance. We will also be installing new stone revetment and rehabilitating existing revetment to prevent erosion. The photo renderings show what the site will look like in the future.
