Our 2024 partners gave us hope for real, meaningful change, and we had the honor of partnering with changemakers to: ?? shift mindsets, ?? shift power dynamics and resource flows, ?? shift practices, ?? shift organizational values, and ??? shift relationships. To learn more about our amazing partners, collaborators, and the projects we worked with, check out?our 2024 #yearinreview, “Sun rays,?spotlights:” ?? bit.ly/Daylight2024 In 2025, we are committed to continuing the work of shifting systems towards dignity, joy, and belonging. We look forward to sharing even more stories of our partners who continue to inspire and energize us for the systems change work ahead. Your comrades, Lyndon & Rae ?? Daylight ??

    • A stack of three, cream-colored papers with light pink outlines set against the background of sandy, dried grass paths under a bright blue sky. the paper on top says "Sun rays, spotlights" in black-outlined red text. Underneath this title is an oval framed photo of Lake Michigan's sky and water with a spiky black-outlined red shape in the center of the photo. There are two black-outlined red, rounded rectangles on either side of this photo with words in black-outlined different white, bolded text, four total, saying: "shifting power," "shifting practices," "shifting relationships," and "shifting resources." Underneath the photo is an image description in small, black text. Underneath the image description is text that says "This past year we worked alongside our partners and collaborators to transform systems that hold the status quo in place. Through the clouds, we caught some sun rays that shone on what is possible when we work together towards more equitable outcomes for all ??."

Who's ready to amplify community design with us? Daylight is co-hosting Design Trust Chicago's (DTC) next MAPPED-a-thon and we'd love for you to join. If you're interested in the built environment, design, or community-led projects, you won't want to miss this. No experience needed to join and contribute. MAPPED (Making A People's Pathway for Engaging Design: https://mappedchicago.org/) is Chicago’s public platform for documenting community projects across the city—built, envisioned, or planned. Through public workshops, called MAPPED-a-thons, DTC invites urban explorers from across the city to gather and learn how to contribute to MAPPED and collectively build a design library of community visions. Join us at Daylight's new office on the rooftop of Industrious Central Loop on July 23rd from 6-7:30PM CT and enjoy the city’s illuminated skyline as we explore new methods of community storytelling through MAPPED! The evening will include a mix and mingle with attendees, a short presentation by the DTC team, and a community project mapping activity in breakout groups. Food and drinks will be provided. Bring a laptop and get ready to map! Register here:?https://bit.ly/4cpu9Sz
