Here’s what NOT to do when handling objections in LinkedIn DMs: ?? Over-explaining when someone says, “Not interested.” ?? Defending price instead of proving value. ?? Sending a generic response that ignores their concerns. ?? Giving up after the first objection. ?? Pushing harder instead of asking better questions. Instead, turn objections into opportunities with these responses: ? “Not interested” → Find out why. "Totally get it! I'm curious, are you already using a similar tool, or is LinkedIn outreach not a priority right now?" ? “It’s too expensive” → Focus on ROI. "I hear you! Companies like yours see [specific result] in [timeframe]. If I can show how this saves you more than it costs, would that be worth a quick chat?" ? “We’re using a competitor” → Create curiosity. "Got it! What’s working well for you? And if you could improve one thing about it, what would it be?" ? “Not the right time” → Establish urgency. "Understood. What would need to change for this to become a priority? Many teams see the biggest wins when they start before peak seasons." ? “I need to check with my team” → Stay in the conversation. "That makes sense. What concerns do you think they’ll have? Happy to send over key details or hop on a call to answer questions." Every objection is a chance to keep the conversation going. The goal isn’t to convince, it’s to discover what really matters to your prospect.
