    ?? Not enough people know about financial advice as a career! Last week we ran a poll asking: What’s stopping more young people from joining financial advice? The results were eye-opening: ?? 58% said "Limited awareness of the role" ?? 8% pointed to "Cost & time of qualifications" ?? 33% highlighted "Few entry-level opportunities" ?? 0% saw "Competition from other careers" as an issue This ties in perfectly with an great FT Adviser article by Alina Khan, which highlights that while the number of female advisers has increased slightly, they still make up just 18% of the profession. This isn’t about saying advice should be a 50/50 split—it’s about making sure everyone knows it’s an option. Right now, too many people—regardless of gender—aren’t aware of the career paths available in financial advice. With its flexibility, career growth, and purpose-driven work, it could be the perfect fit for so many more people. The challenge is making sure they see it as a real possibility. ?? The industry has largely delivered—fewer than 2% of cases missed suitability reviews.
