Thrilled to announce the closing of two loans totaling $7 million, secured by raw land in Houston at a 30% LTV with a cash out bridge structure that includes interest carry. Closing and funding on the same day was no small feat, and I couldn’t be prouder of our team’s hard work to bring all the pieces together. Starting this company just nine months ago, I’m incredibly grateful to officially be on the board with our first completed deal. His approach, rooted in trust and deep relationships, serves as a model for all of us in local leadership. However, free market proponents express concerns that popular policies may prioritize votes over GDP growth. Traders are expecting a 25bps rate cut on September 18th. In the banking market, big banks are facing challenges with commercial real estate loans, as 4.48% of their loans were delinquent in Q2, significantly higher than the 1% delinquency rate for smaller banks. The issues primarily arise from properties leased to third parties, which are sensitive to high interest rates. Larger banks have made substantial provisions for potential office-loan losses. A potential decline in interest rates could enable banks to sell some bond holdings, generating necessary liquidity for growth. There was a senseless act of violence this weekend in PA. The individual who attempted to take the life of one of the presidents of the USA was a 20-year-old who had recently graduated high school. My prediction is that he was suffering from a mental illness called schizophrenia. I have a younger brother who died from complications of this disease in 2021. During this time of blaming, finger-pointing, and fear for our nation, I ask you to focus on a solution for our mental health crisis.
