In 2022 WEBIT Services, Inc. officially became a certified Employee-Owned company. It was the first step in a bigger plan to help close the income inequality gap in the United States. To achieve this plan, we must be a world-class organization that makes a big difference in the lives of our employees, who in turn make a big difference for the clients we serve. From there, we want to inspire, guide, and teach other organizations how to become employee-owned or establish perpetual purpose trusts. The more organizations that share equity with their employees, the smaller the income inequality gap will become. Employee ownership will not fix a bad culture and is certainly not a short-term solution. Seeing results requires time and careful planning. Think how much better things would be if more businesses shared their success with the people who are helping to create it. It seems like everywhere we turn these days, the news isn't good for one reason or another, especially when it comes to healthcare. I'd like to spread some good news and hope and encourage others to do the same. We've all likely been impacted by cancer in some way either personally or through a loved one. But there is some good news from Science magazine that researchers continue to develop vaccines that may prevent tumors from forming. This is another important step towards Medicine 3.0 where healthcare becomes personalized to the individual and their specific DNA/genes. I love to see good things coming from technological advances!
