Let the feasting begin! From perfectly whipped mashed potatoes to freshly baked pies, our LA office's Thanksgiving potluck offered no shortage of mouth-watering homemade dishes to kickstart the holiday weekend. Wishing everyone a safe, happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving week! Our Santa Clara Valley Medical Center (SCVMC) Behavioral Health Services Center (BHSC) Exteriors Team kicked off the season of giving with a visit to MorningStar at San Tomas, an assisted living facility for seniors with memory impairment. Webcorians bonded with MorningStar's residents over art projects, creative games, and great conversation fueled by residents' eye-opening, heartfelt stories. It was a gratifying way for participating Webcorians to spend their annual volunteer hours drawn from Webcor's Community Engagement program: Each year, we give 1 percent of our profits to community-centered causes, the equivalent value of 1 percent of our profits in in-kind donations, and 1 percent of employee time (volunteer hours). The program is just one example of our commitment to Webcor's Community core value and company purpose: Building Solutions, Bettering Lives. #WhyWebcor

The MWH/Webcor JV was thrilled to host the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA) San Francisco Chapter's 2024 President's Tour at the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission's Biosolids Digester Facilities Project (BDFP)! BDFP's field leaders proudly shared the community-driven infrastructure project's progress and achievements while giving CFMA-SF’s participants a meaningful sense of the impact of their work in construction financial management. Shout-out to our incredible BDFP team for hosting and to Webcor VP, Finance / CFMA-SF President Mark Lambert for organizing this year's President's Tour in partnership with CFMA's SF Chapter Board!

Our inaugural investment in R2 Building, a second-generation modular construction firm based in Oakland, CA, aligns with our commitment to innovative and sustainable building methods that address key industry challenges such as efficiency and productivity, affordability, speed to market, and labor shortages. The investment will also support Webcorians' continued growth through exposure to new skills and career opportunities in modular construction. As demand for affordable housing and eco-friendly construction solutions continues to rise, our partnership positions Webcor and R2 to capitalize on technological advances and shifting industry needs. Aaand another one from the American Society of Civil Engineers San Francisco Section Project Awards program! Genesis Marina has been named ASCE San Francisco Section's Outstanding Sustainable Engineering Project, a well-deserved honor for the world's first TRUE Certification for Zero Waste construction project (which was built on a former landfill!). Located in Brisbane's Sierra Point, Genesis Marina provides 550,000+ SF of laboratory and Class A office space serving the science and biotech community. Talk about a perfect team-bonding event! Our San Francisco International Airport (SFO) International Terminal Building (ITB) Roof Upgrade team recreated SFO's iconic building during a team outing at Paint the Town. It was a perfect opportunity to flex their artistic muscles while giving themselves a keepsake of this impactful project—a comprehensive effort to restore and fortify the facility's fa?ade against the elements and improve energy consumption.

Congratulations to the China Basin Park team on winning American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) San Francisco Section's Outstanding Parks and Recreation Project award, part of the chapter's annual project awards program. Located directly across Oracle Park (home of the San Francisco Giants) and McCovey Cove, this sustainably designed five-acre park offers breathtaking waterfront views in the heart of San Francisco's rapidly growing Mission Rock neighborhood.
