Within 10 minutes I am running a full meta llama 3.1 8B LLM, solely on an M3 MacBook Air. ?? The possibilities of this technology are endless. Imagine, having the ability to query hundreds of gigabytes of data on your device and instantly be presented with the right information a the right time. You can simply have conversations with operations and aircraft manuals, and all of the processing is done on-device. Nothing is sent to the cloud, nothing is shared with other partners. Extremely powerful stuff! Shout out to David Stout, Stephen Westerfield and the team at webAI for their time this week! It really feels like the future is now. ????

I’m currently testing webAI Navigator while flying home on Hawaiian Airlines after attending the Mobility Summit in Austin. I’m using SpaceX StarLink again for in-flight WiFi and still loving it. If you haven’t tried webAI yet, I highly recommend it. I was blown away by what it can do on your device! They have an easy-to-follow Quick Start support section on the website. Here are my initial thoughts: 1. Simply put, this is awesome! Do not sleep on webAI. They have some seriously talented smart founders whom we got to meet this week, watch live demos, and learn about the many ways we can apply this tech in the Aviation Industry. Thank you David Stout and Tyler Mauer! 2. Out of the box you can be up and running in less than an hour with an AI Proof of concept using your data.?I just did it myself and it took less than 30 minutes. 3. Running a POC on a local endpoint instead of in the cloud ensures data privacy and allows you to create rapid prototypes. As I mentioned, I just did this while in flight on my way back home. I’m using a M2 MacBook Pro but they were demonstrating on a new Apple Mac Mini! You can also cluster devices to leverage more compute/resources if needed. 4.?The Navigator visual editor was easy to figure out with an intuitive drag-and-drop interface which made setting up the connections between the elements on canvas dead simple. Bottom line, do not sleep on this tech, it's incredible and it can be run on an iPhone and iPad which makes what you can do with these capabilities seem limitless in the hands of our front-line workers.
