In rural Nigeria, we tackled the taboo topic of menstrual health head-on, empowering over 200 adolescent girls with life-changing knowledge and confidence. Through interactive workshops, honest conversations, and essential resources, we helped these girls break free from myths and misconceptions about periods. ???? The results are nothing short of remarkable. Girls are now attending school more regularly, staying healthy, and feeling more empowered than ever before. We're witnessing a community transformation, where periods are being recognized as a natural part of life – nothing to be ashamed of.?? But we're just getting started! Driving grassroots change with the Climate Connect Initiative! ??? In Nairobi, open drains posed significant environmental and health challenges, but through relentless community collaboration and sustainable practices, incredible progress has been made. 22 drains cleaned, drastically improving street cleanliness and reducing waste. A 37% decrease in waterborne diseases, enhancing public health and safety. Strengthened community unity through shared efforts to achieve cleanliness and peace. Feedback from 60 residents across six estates shows growing commitment, with 40% willing to contribute to services and 50% calling for county government involvement. Through three workshops, the initiative not only tackled immediate issues but also emphasized the power of local leadership in driving long-term sustainability.
