?? Framing is underway at Rose Park Manor! ?? ? This exciting project will bring 81 affordable housing units for the 55+ community to Cary, NC—one of the state's most desirable places to live. As Cary grows, the need for quality, affordable housing has increased. ? The Triangle remains our busiest market, with five affordable housing projects currently under construction totaling 625 units. In addition, we have Depot (227 units), a market-rate project, and Arbors, a rehabilitation of 248 units, bringing us to seven active projects in the Triangle. ? This project marks the beginning of a promising new relationship, and we look forward to building on it for future opportunities—a huge shoutout to our project team for their phenomenal work in bringing Rose Park Manor to life. ? ? ????Another milestone for affordable housing in Durham! ? For the second time in just four months, we broke ground on a new affordable housing community—Sankofa Landing. Located in the Braggtown area, this development will bring 156 much-needed homes to the community, featuring a mix of 4-story interior corridor and 3-story garden-style layouts. ? What makes this project even more special is its location—on land that has been a gathering place for Durham's Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) since the 1970s. To honor that legacy, the second floor of the clubroom will house a new 5,000-square-foot VFW office, ensuring their continued presence in the community. ? Yesterday's groundbreaking was a celebration of collaboration, bringing together city leaders, NCHFA representatives, and key partners who made this project possible. We were honored to hear from Durham Councilman Carl Rist and Reggie Johnson from the Community Development Department, who spoke about the importance of this development in expanding affordable housing in our city. ? Durham continues to set the standard for affordable housing in North Carolina, and we're proud to be part of the progress.
