Weathervane co-founders Jason and Brian joined a panel at #AMS2025 in NOLA hosted by NOAA Technology Partnerships Office. Town Hall: Small Business Innovation Driving Climate and Weather Solutions. They shared the company’s #SBIR journey and reflected on opportunities for the next generation of innovators.

We worked in partnership with Flying Saucer Studio to refine our visual identity this year. Just as #weather connects us each to something larger, the individual elements of our new look draw inspiration from the world beyond our four walls: Our primary colors reflect the deep waters that animate life, the bright sky and clouds overhead, and verdant landscapes around us. Our accent colors include the green patina of aged copper and the warm hues of sunrise and sunset. Our logo reimagines the traditional weathervane as a vertically skewed star that points the way forward with an arrowhead in its negative space. This simple yet dynamic form is versatile across colors and sizes. Looking ahead to 2025, these #design efforts will merge with advancements in our core #technology and #digital #products. Today Weathervane Labs has reached the mid-point of our 2-year NOAA SBIR Phase II award funded by NOAA Technology Partnerships Office. Co-founders Jason and Brian have learned a tremendous amount prototyping our #Climatize API and #Weathervane mobile app, first through UX research, then UI design, and now engineering. This latest R&D project has been supported by expert partners including The Decision Lab, Flying Saucer Studio, FedTech, and PopUpThinkTank. It's also been informed by input from our community of prospective customers (request early access at www.weathervane.io). In year two we'll shift our focus into prototype testing, evaluation, and demonstration.
