关于我们
We are UnidosUS, the largest national Latino civil rights and advocacy organization in the United States, formerly known as the National Council of La Raza (NCLR). Our mission is to build a stronger America by creating opportunities for the Latino community. To achieve this, we conduct applied research, policy analysis, and advocacy, providing a Latino perspective in key areas such as civil rights and immigration, education, health, housing & financial empowerment, racial equity, voting & political empowerment, and workforce development. Through #AffiliatesUnidos, our network of affiliated community-based organizations (CBOs), we reach millions of Latinos each year across the United States and Puerto Rico. We provide our Affiliates with capacity-building assistance to improve their work at the state and local level to advance opportunities for individuals and families.

We join civil rights allies to denounce an unprecedented memo by President Trump that threatens sanctions against lawyers and law firms defending Americans from the administration’s harmful overreach. ??: Learn more: https://bit.ly/3RllgQR
This weekend, the White House sent a memo to U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi and U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem directing the Department of Justice to pursue sanctions against lawyers and law firms that pursue what the Trump administration deems “unreasonable” or “frivolous” litigation against the federal government. In response, a group of nearly two dozen civil rights organizations vehemently condemned this outrageous targeting of lawyers who question government action and called for urgent action to defend the rule of law. ?? https://lnkd.in/etUM8H-m “We call on the judiciary, bar associations, law firms, and individual lawyers to speak out against this dangerous assault on the legal profession and the rule of law, hold firm in defending and facilitating the lawful and ethical practice of law, and stand ready to scrutinize and hold the government accountable for its own unethical and unlawful conduct in pursuit of this administration’s aims.” NAACP Legal Defense and Education Fund, Inc., Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, ACLU, Southern Poverty Law Center, MALDEF - Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund, LatinoJustice PRLDEF, Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund (AALDEF), National Women's Law Center, Asian Americans Advancing Justice | AAJC, National Immigration Law Center, NAACP, National Urban League, National Action Network, The National Coalition on Black Civic Participation, National Council of Negro Women, Inc. Fathers play as important a role in their children's development as mothers, and research shows that this involvement benefits parent and child alike. But while fathers tend to be more involved in parenting than a generation ago, many Latino fathers still let their female partners take the lead. Alongside our partners in the Early Learning Collective, we're having these conversations with Latino fathers to uncover the benefits and supports available to them and change the stigma. #UnidosUS
