We are honored to share that two SmithGroup projects have received prestigious awards at the Architecture MasterPrize (AMP), celebrating excellence in international architecture. In partnership with Rockwell Group and Ennead Architects, the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg Center has been honored as the Architectural Design of the Year. This innovative facility in Washington, D.C., transforms a former museum into a flexible, interdisciplinary learning environment for multiple graduate schools. The Hangzhou Taiping Financial Tower was honored with an AMP award for Commercial Architecture. Drawing inspiration from the “Butterfly Lovers,” the design features four organically shaped towers arranged around a central public plaza, creating an elegant and harmonious presence in Hangzhou’s Qianjiang New Town. This tower serves as the regional headquarters for China Taiping Insurance Holdings Co Ltd. Congratulations to our project teams and partners for this well-deserved recognition!
