HII is proud to welcome VEEM Ltd (ASX:VEE) as one of the first Western Australian companies to join in the new Australian Submarine Supplier Qualification (AUSS-Q) pilot program led by HII — a significant milestone in building a stronger, more integrated defense industrial base across the #AUKUS alliance. As the largest military shipbuilder in the U.S, HII is committed to qualifying and integrating Australian suppliers into the Virginia-class submarine program. VEEM’s decades of experience in precision casting for the Collins-class submarines makes the company well positioned to become part of the global Virginia-class submarine supply chain. HII was pleased to visit VEEM with the Deputy Prime Minister, the Hon. Richard Marles to discuss the AUSS-Q. He said “the Australian Submarine Supplier Qualification Pilot program, which is being run by HII and which VEEM is now in the final stages of. HII is America's largest naval shipbuilder and what it is doing through this program is qualifying Australian companies to participate in the supply chain of building U.S. Virginia-class submarines. And this really speaks to one of the great opportunities of AUKUS, because at its heart what AUKUS is seeking to do is to establish a seamless defence industrial base across the three countries." This is more than just a partnership—it’s a step toward a seamless defense supply network between Australia, the U.S., and the U.K. The AUSS-Q program is about unlocking new opportunities for Australian industry, creating high-skilled jobs, and strengthening the foundation for future AUKUS submarine production. We're proud to partner with the Australian Government on this vital work and pleased to work alongside VEEM and other Australian companies to enhance the capabilities of our allied forces. There's no place like home! ?? Sailors who serve aboard Virginia-class fast-attack submarine USS Vermont (#SSN792), which shipbuilders at Newport News Shipbuilding, A Division of HII, proudly helped build, reunited with their loved ones as the sub returns to Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, on March 16 after a scheduled deployment. The third U.S. Navy ship named after the Green Mountain State, SSN 792 was administratively commissioned in April 2020 and is the first Block IV Virginia-class fast-attack submarine. As one of just two shipyards capable of designing and building nuclear-powered submarines, we're proud to build this class of the most advanced attack subs like Vermont that allow our servicemembers safeguard our seas and make it home safely to those who matter the most. ?? ??:U.S. Navy /MC1 Barnes

Mission Technologies was awarded a $147 million contract to support shipboard and shore-based combat training services for the U.S. Navy. “Providing full-cycle support for U.S. Navy, joint, coalition and Department of Defense training systems requires a seamless, well-orchestrated approach and close collaboration with the Navy customer to make sure we’re providing the best quality service possible,” said Michael Lempke, president of Mission Technologies’ Global Security group. This milestone brings the US Navy aircraft carrier a step closer to serving our nation and defending freedom around the world.

Mission Technologies was awarded a task order valued at approximately $182 million to provide logistics support for U.S. Air Force F-16 pilot training devices. “Ensuring U.S. Air Force operators have world-class training devices that support training of U.S. Air National Guard fighter pilots is essential to a combat-ready force — a critical component of our national security,” said Michael Lempke, president of Mission Technologies’ Global Security group.
