Marriott International has acquired Postcard Cabins, formerly Getaway, marking its entry into the outdoor hospitality market. The acquisition, which includes 29 locations with over 1,200 cabins situated near major U.S. cities, is designed to offer nature-immersive experiences. Additionally, Marriott has signed a long-term agreement with Trailborn, adding 559 rooms across five outdoor destinations to its portfolio, further expanding its nature-focused #travel offerings. — #forhumans

The #sports and #music #tourism economy is projected to hit $1.5T by 2032, according to new research from Collinson International Ltd., which owns Priority Pass and LoungeKey airport lounges around the world. Sports tourism represents the overwhelming majority of that figure. Valued at $564.7 billion in 2023, it’s expected to skyrocket to $1.33 trillion in the next eight years.
