Have you ever been curious about a potential lack of confidence that's causing your talented women to leave? In the UK, 60% of women cite low self-confidence as a key barrier to career progression - quite shocking right? Issues like imposter syndrome, hesitating to apply for promotions, and struggling with identity after returning from maternity leave create real challenges in the workplace. Without proper support, many women feel stuck and choose to move on. But here’s the good news: it doesn’t have to be this way. At Becoming, we empower companies to address this confidence gap. Our interactive 1-day workshops use proven principles of positive psychology to help women understand their triggers, build practical solutions, and create sustainable confidence strategies. Businesses that invest in their employees see real returns: ? Improved retention rates ? Higher engagement ? Better representation at all levels Empowering women isn’t just the right thing to do—it’s essential for thriving in today’s workplace, don't you think? Are you ready to create a culture where your women want to stay? Eleni Kasparis and Robyn Filep are always ready to talk! Did you know that speaking in front of other people causes anxiety for about 40% of people? This fear—known as glossophobia—can hold many back. Do you relate? This week, Robyn had the privilege of returning as an assessor at the University of East London, supporting students as they presented their insights on the future of hospitality and tourism. Helping them practice interview skills—a crucial step in preparing for their careers. The best part of the day? Watching students step into the room, nervous and unsure, and leave with heads held high, brimming with confidence after facing their fears. They spoke in front of five industry professionals—a challenge for anyone—and they walked away with a well-earned sense of accomplishment. A reminder: Confidence isn’t about perfection; it’s about taking action. Each step outside your comfort zone makes you stronger. What’s one “scary thing” you’ve done lately that left you feeling empowered? Let us know in the comments! ????

We haven't been shy about the fact that our business is designed to support the empowerment of women. However, we know that we cannot achieve our mission without the positive value men bring to the world, their families and their communities. Therefore, with it being 'International Men's Day' we'd like to highlight the supportive male figures that have played an important role since Becoming's inception: Shehan De-Silva James Rodricks Darryl Bate James Partington Jon Dawson Conrad Brunton CertRP Sam Chance Cameron Stephenson Daniel Razavi Rupert Culme-Seymour Tom Alabaster Olajide Alabi Amongst many others! So while we work to enable the future of women, we support, encourage and welcome men to join us in this mission. Decision makers, fathers, male colleagues and friends! Thank you for all you do!

The Good Hotel Guide Live hosted one hell of a forum Tuesday this week, in The Barnsdale from The Signet Collection (stunning hotel, if you're ever visiting Rutland). Becoming had the chance to support this event by co-facilitating many of the collaborative discussions across the day. Robyn's favourite aspect of this event was the time and space all groups were given to talk, to share challenges and equally share ideas and support in overcoming those challenges. All discussions were extremely solution-focused and positive which, following the budget, was a huge feat! We already can't wait to support this event again in 2025 - thank you for having us Richard Fraiman, Sam Chance and Kathy Dyball Saskia Boissevain Rachel House Paul James Penally Abbey Hotel Scrumptious Marketing & Events

?? What do we ACTUALLY do?! ?? At Becoming, our vision is that women have the tools, resources and, importantly, the confidence to navigate life’s challenges and phases. We aim to partner with businesses to enhance employees development, through the principles of positive psychology. Having an under-confident workforce directly results in a lack of engagement, increased turnover and under-representation within women in leadership. We know that businesses and the individuals in positions of authority have all the will to improve this, let us support you in unlocking attributes and qualities in your workforce and to do some truly impactful work together. It’s time to BECOME what you’ve always wanted to be. Reach out to Eleni Kasparis and Robyn Filep to have a chat to see how we can support the women in your business. Don't just take our word for it... Amanda Hall, Assoc CIPD, CPTD from Clermont Hotel Group recently left us some truly heart warming feedback on our labs that we'd love to share with you. "Having worked with Leni & Robyn previously, it was a 'no-brainer' for me to work with them again on a personal level, as so many of our values align. Every conversation we have sparks excitement and a real desire to do & be better! But it had to be the right decision as a business too. We know that we can't achieve our vision 'to deliver extraordinary hospitality', without extraordinary people. We understand that our differences make us extraordinary and we want to do everything we can to support and nurture this individuality in all of our wonderful people. As we continue to evolve as a great place to work, Robyn & Leni's approach to positive psychology really helps us to do this, giving people a forum to have honest and impactful discussions about often taboo topics, sharing ideas and experiences with colleagues. The feedback we've received from the Labs so far has been nothing short of incredible, with managers already requesting sessions with their own teams, as they could instantly feel the impact and value of the conversations they'd been part of!" Robyn Filep and Eleni Kasparis are so proud and it's an absolute pleasure to work with someone that just 'gets it'!

Cornish Bakery are trail-blazing crafting a coaching culture within their teams, with the aim of increasing confidence and empowerment at all levels of the business. Becoming are thrilled about this partnership and the time spent together this week! How could you and your team become more curious? How do you think being more curious could benefit your teams and business?
Wow what can I say, an amazing 2 days under the guidance and facilitation of Robyn Filep and Eleni Kasparis of Becoming not only did we become more #Curious to what a #coachingculture can bring to Cornish Bakery, but our host venue had the same ideas too - looking forward to the next steps of our journeys with you both
