A stable, secure place to call home is essential for feeling whole. In Uganda’s Bidibidi refugee camp, Alight and Every Shelter created Shelter Depot, a DIY home improvement store where displaced families can access affordable tools, solar panels, stoves, and more. ?? With a work-for-credit program, customers with limited financial means can still create homes they’re proud of. ?? For those who have lost so much, this isn’t just about rebuilding—it’s about restoring dignity and the peace of home. ? The peace of house & home—that’s #WhatReallyMatters

Looking for a little good news this November? We’ve got you covered. With Give to the Max officially underway, we’re celebrating with our favorite Give for Good stories, highlighting the great work of nonprofits making our communities brighter each and every day. Giving for Good looks a little different for all of us, but there’s one thing we all share: when we give generously, courageously, and joyously during Minnesota’s giving holiday, we are Giving for Good together. And when we do, we help to power the work of nonprofits who make our state a better place to call home. So join us as we Give for Good now through November 21 at giveMN.org
