The United Arab Emirates has pledged a $1.4 trillion investment framework over 10 years in the U.S. The framework will "substantially increase the UAE's existing investments in the U.S. economy" in semiconductors, AI infrastructure, energy, and manufacturing, Reuters reported, citing a White House official. Nvidia launched the Nvidia Accelerated Quantum Research Center (NVAQC) to integrate quantum hardware with AI supercomputers, enabling "accelerated quantum supercomputing," the company announced in a March 18 press release. Quantum computing innovators, including Quantinuum, Quantum Machines, and QuEra Computing, will collaborate with researchers from Harvard and MIT through NVAQC. To address the challenges of integrating graphics processing units, or GPUs, and quantum processing units, or QPUs hardware, the NVAQC will use CUDA-Q — Nvidia's open-source platform for hybrid quantum-classical computing — to help researchers develop new hybrid quantum algorithms and applications.
