WealthCare: why am I here? Wednesday night, WealthCare Inc. took part in an event sponsored by St. John’s University called “Numbers Night.” ?The goal was to connect businesses with students who were concentrating their studies in the “numbers” fields. When I was in college, they called it “Careers Night.” It was insane.?Rows and rows of businesses lined the auditorium.?Banners stood proudly, and employers lined up goodies and business cards atop the elegant tablecloths.?At the stroke of 5:30pm, the students came in droves.?Young men and women; singles and groups.?They were dressed in sweatpants and suits.?They had resumes and iced coffees. They had questions -?great questions!?Questions such as: What is WealthCare? What IS WealthCare??Why am I here? This event gave me a chance to really reflect on why I choose each and every day to show up.?My answer has always been the same: ?I am here because I am passionate about helping people. I believe in using my gifts to make the world a better place.?One way I can do this is to help people understand the choices before them and the possible impact on their lives.?I am not solving world peace, but I’d like to think I can bring greater understanding and positivity to my community.? ?? I can do this anywhere, right??Why WealthCare? At WealthCare, I am surrounded by people who lift me up and support me.?We work as a team. When I make a mistake, I am not chastised. I am asked, “How can this be done differently? How can we help you?” And then they give me the tools to grow. I am here because this is where I can grow to become the best version of myself, and I am surrounded by people who can help me get there. It is officially boating season in Minnesota! It is one of my favorite ways to get outdoors. We could not have asked for a better weekend to spend out on the boat fishing and cruising around the lake with Mom!
