WSFG is proud to announce our very own Managing Partner, Mike Amine, will be joining Medal of Honor recipients on Wednesday March 5th in New York City to take part in the Closing Bell Ceremony at the New York Stock Exchange. Mike will be part of a select group joining the Congressional Medal of Honor Society and the Medal of Honor Foundation to celebrate this momentous occasion. WSFG is excited to welcome Jeff Hakes and Landon Kelly to our team! Jeff Hakes: Jeff recently joined the team as a Financial Advisor and has been in the Financial Services industry since 2009. He studied Jazz Trumpet at Ball State University. Jeff has been married to his lovely wife, Robyne, for 30 years and raised two girls. He’s now a highly engaged grandfather/chauffeur. In addition to spending time with his family, he is an avid distance cyclist, outdoor fitness enthusiast, and regular gym attendee. He’s planning to move the family to the Detroit Metro area this spring. Landon Kelly: Landon recently entered the industry as a Financial Advisor after a life event inspired him to change careers, and he notes his passion for serving his clients is the same reason his mother Kathy was a wonderful nurse – his heart is in his work. Landon holds his Bachelors from the University of Michigan – Flint and MBA from the University of Illinois – Chicago. He currently lives in his hometown of Flint, Michigan with his lovely wife, Ilma. He's highly engaged in family life and enjoys his dad being his neighbor. He also has eight nieces and nephews he adores, and a loving extended family. Happy Women's History Month! As we celebrate this special month, let's take a moment to reflect on the immense contributions women have made to the world of finance, business, and beyond. Pioneering Women in Finance: Women like Abigail Adams, who, back in the 18th century, wisely invested in government bonds, and Hetty Green, known as the "Witch of Wall Street," who became one of the richest women in the world in the late 19th century. They paved the way for future generations of women in finance. Present Day Leaders: Today, we have extraordinary women leading financial institutions, government bodies, and startups, demonstrating that finance is no longer a 'men's club'. Women like Janet Yellen, the first woman to chair the Federal Reserve and now the U.S. Treasury Secretary, and Mary Barra, the CEO of General Motors, are leading the way. Empowering the Next Generation: As we forge ahead, let's continue to break barriers, shatter glass ceilings, and pave the way for the next generation of women in finance. This month, we salute the women who've bravely charted their own path in finance and have inspired countless others to do the same. ????
