In the past month, we’ve seen tens of thousands of federal workers fired or pressured to resign — wreaking havoc on the stability of the federal workforce and threatening the services provided to our communities. 2024 was a big year for democracy and We The Action. They grew their community of lawyers to 52,000, and together, donated more than 370,000 hours worth over $194M to more than 700 nonprofit partners. Beyond staffing the largest election protection hotline in the country, We The Action's volunteers represented refugees and asylum seekers and supported patient-led groups working to find cures for rare diseases. Last year, We The Action played a key role in protecting our elections, helped increase representation for refugees and asylum seekers in immigration legal proceedings, launched a partnership to bring legal support to patient-led rare disease organizations, and so much more.
