In the past month, we’ve seen tens of thousands of federal workers fired or pressured to resign — wreaking havoc on the stability of the federal workforce and threatening the services provided to our communities. Lawyers have the power to do something about it. We The Action is launching a new Public Service Legal Response Center to mobilize lawyers who want to assist federal workers. Lawyers, sign up today to get connected with opportunities to help federal workers. ?? https://lnkd.in/eBGBn3hj

The non-partisan civil service serves all Americans, but they need our help. This administration's assault on the federal workforce needs to be met with swift force. Democracy Forward is joining partners in support of the launch of a Public Service Legal Response Center to connect attorneys with opportunities to get involved. At a time when the courts are the bulwark to the Trump administration’s unlawful agenda, Democracy Forward urges service-minded lawyers to join the fight. https://lnkd.in/e5aE4ADA

And in 2024, this platform, alongside We The Action’s outstanding team, enabled $194M in donated services ?? Since our inception, our commitment to leveraging technology for positive change has been a backbone of Able’s values. We’re grateful to We The Action for partnering with us in that mission. 2024 was a big year for democracy and We The Action. They grew their community of lawyers to 52,000, and together, donated more than 370,000 hours worth over $194M to more than 700 nonprofit partners. Beyond staffing the largest election protection hotline in the country, We The Action's volunteers represented refugees and asylum seekers and supported patient-led groups working to find cures for rare diseases.
