Our team listens and reviews sales calls daily, and one of the biggest pieces of advice I give to our rookies is this... Match the energy of the prospect. When prospects get onto a sales call, nothing screams, "Give me all of your money now," more than a nervous sales rep jacked up on caffeine with level 10 energy. Let's play this out... Let's say your prospect shows up to a sales call after having an argument with their spouse 30 minutes before the phone call, and they show up to the call with a level 3 energy. The rep gets on the call, and they first say, "Hey (NAME), I'M SO EXCITED TO BE ON THIS CALL TODAY!!!" The rep's level 10 energy can sound like a fire alarm going off in your house at 3:00 AM. Enthusiasm is great, but reading the room and matching the prospect's energy (especially at the beginning of the call) is even better. Teaching our rookies how to match and mirror energy has accelerated their growth. Give it a shot if you've tried scripting but still struggle to ramp new hires quickly ? Sell Up

Behind every decision, there is a belief system. That belief system was likely founded on past experiences, emotions, and some logic. Our job as sales professionals is to unlock that belief system. A single sale can change the direction of someone's life (or business) forever. I was sold a service in 2017, and my life has never been the same. As a company, we celebrate the number of “lives impacted,” not the number of sales we made that month. That mindset shift has been powerful for us.
