Happy Valentine's Day! How do we show love? With a healthy mother and baby, delivered safely under the light of a Solar Suitcase. With more than 10,000 Solar Suitcases lighting up safe childbirth, we have supported over 18 million mothers and babies during childbirth. #LightEveryBirth

Last month, our Uganda advanced technicians at the Kabale Maintenance Center successfully evaluated multiple Solar Suitcases, ensuring all could perform at peak capacity before reinstallation. Meanwhile, we kicked off the 2025 Uganda installations, with our team loading Solar Suitcases at the warehouse in preparation for deployment. A total of 206 Solar Suitcases were issued for installation, bringing us one step closer to empowering more facilities with reliable solar energy! #Sustainability #SolarEnergy #Impact

Through our We Share Solar education program, high school students at Yampah Mountain High School in Colorado learned about the elegance of solar power as they assembled Solar Suitcases for rural Tanzania schools lacking power. Our "Learn, Build, and Share" curriculum was first introduced to Yampah students in 2008, when a group of students assembled and then decorated early prototype Solar Suitcases for maternal health clinics in Somalia. At the Zwall Primary Health Center in Nigeria, a new Solar Suitcase brings reliable light, essential energy, and better healthcare to mothers and babies, and better working conditions to the health workers who care for them.

As we reflect on our incredible journey in 2024, we��re thrilled to share one of the year��s collaborations. Together with SunPower Foundation Foundation and the Philippine Eagle Foundation, we brought Solar Suitcases to indigenous communities living in their ancestral domains in the remote forests of Mindanao, Philippines. These Solar Suitcases are making a difference by providing light for students to study and allowing tribal members to charge radios and phones��eliminating the need to travel hours to neighboring areas. For many isolated villages near the habitats of the majestic Philippine eagle, this represents a vital step forward in accessing essential services like electricity. This project would not have been possible without the dedication of our incredible partners. Thank you to the Obu Manuvu Indigenous Cultural Communities/ Indigenous Peoples (ICC's/IP's) of Barangay Salaysay in Davao City and San Fernando, Bukidnon, the Philippine Eagle Foundation, and SunPower Foundation for making this vision a reality.
