In 2022, a record 5,853 Hispanic Americans lost their lives to gun violence — an increase of nearly double from 2014. This surge is outpacing national rates, with Hispanic gun deaths rising almost twice as fast as the rest of the population. Firearm homicides account for 60% of these deaths, and the Hispanic firearm homicide rate is more than double that of non-Hispanic white individuals. ?? ??
