    This is a very late post. In August we held a toiletry drive for Women's Lunch Place. This was a very meaningful project that me and my intern, Priya Radcliffe worked on together. There is a reason that WCVB is such an amazing and special place, it is because of the people. I was overwhelmed with the amount of items donated. We were able to put together 22 toiletry kits!! There are so many full-sized and trial sized items left that I know the shelter will be able to use. A tremendous Thank you to everyone who donated and those that helped me assemble the kits ?? Look what you helped do Priya!

    Last Thursday was National Intern Day. This summer we have 16 interns, our largest group yet. We thought it would be fun to try and get all 16 of them together before the internship ends, so we decided to have an Intern Mixer! We had an iced coffee bar, some snacks and a "no-jito" beverage for their enjoyment. We couldn't get all 16, but we got 12(I'll take it) We think they had a great time chatting and getting to know each other better. What a fun afternoon a with a spunky, happy, incredibly smart and talented group!

    Black History Month gives us an opportunity to reflect and educate. The fractured relationship between the Black community and the American healthcare system is well documented. The barriers to quality health care for Black women are tangible in the inequitable outcomes of breast cancer survival. Despite similar screening and incidence rates, Black women have a significantly higher mortality rate from their breast cancer. #blackhistorymonth #breastcancer
