Our February Member of the Month is Anyssa Lopez! Anyssa is a Junior majoring in Business Management with a minor in Psychology. She is always a friendly face at WBLA meetings and has especially shown up and been engaged this past month. We would also like to recognize her upcoming internship with Cintas, one of our corporate sponsors! Outside of school and clubs, Anyssa likes reading, coloring, and legos. Congratulations, Anyssa! Happy International Women’s Day! It’s time to recap February with WBLA by acknowledging some of our events. The Philo committee planned a candy gram Philo to give back to the community. Our social events committee planned an engaging karaoke night where WBLA members got to bond through music. The Pro-Dev team also coordinated our women’s symposium. Members got to network with our club sponsors, connect with WBLA alumni, and create virtual business cards. We’d like to extend a big thank you to everyone involved. Finally, our amazing marketing team planned our spring photoshoot! We’re grateful to have another great month with WBLA, and excited for WBLA events during Women’s History Month!

Our January Member of the Month is Kristin Lande! Kristin is a Freshman majoring in Business Entrepreneurship with a minor in Organizational Leadership. She is always smiling and willing to talk to a new face at WBLA events, so we would like to recognize her! She is a member of the Philanthropy Committee and recently hosted her first outside Philanthropy event, where members created Candy Grams for Ronald MacDonald House. Outside of school and clubs, Kristin likes dancing, reading, and pilates. WBLA is very grateful to have you, Kristin!

We had a great January with WBLA! During the first week of classes, members of our executive board had the opportunity to promote WBLA during the Spring Involvement Fair and throughout Involvement Week with W.P. Carey. We also had our first meeting this semester on the 22nd. We had an amazing turnout of new and returning members who got to learn more about WBLA and interact during our speed-drawing social. Finally, we’d like to extend a thank you to Hannah with Northwestern Mutual for coming out on the 29th to speak with us about creating our elevator pitches. We can’t wait to see what February has to offer!

The Fall 2024 semester has officially come to an end and WBLA has had a successful semester full of great events. There are a few events we'd like to take a moment to highlight. Firstly, our Feed My Starving Children event, where we had the privilege of assembling food packs for children in need. We also hosted our annual Round Table event, which included the opportunity for members to connect with recruiters from our awesome sponsors. For our mentorship program, we had an amazing mentorship scavenger hunt where our mentors and mentees could first meet and bond together. Last, but not least, recently we had a vision board social for members to connect and share their future goals. We'd like to thank our sponsors, the incredible executive board team, and our amazing members for this semester. We look forward to what Spring 2025 has to offer!

Our November Member of the Month is Kaira Moore! Kaira is a Freshman majoring in Marketing. At every WBLA event she attends, she is always engaged and so friendly, so we would like to recognize her! Outside of school and clubs, Kaira likes to crochet. WBLA is grateful to have you, Kaira!

Our October Member of the Month is Alexys Turley! Alexys is a Junior majoring in Accountancy. She consistently shows up for WBLA general meetings and outside events with a positive attitude and a smile! Her hobbies include crochet, painting, local music, and basket weaving. This is Alexys’s 1st year in WBLA, and we are so grateful to have her. Congrats!

Special thanks to our sponsors ADP, KPMG US, Cintas, Northwestern Mutual, Sherwin-Williams, BlueGrace Logistics, and MUFG for coming to ASU last night for Women's Business Leaders Association's annual roundtable event! At this event, WBLA members had the privilege to network directly with representatives from each company and learn more about both the company and general professional development. We were very excited to put this event together and had a great turnout!

Our September Member of the Month is Nicole Sandoval! Nicole is a Senior majoring in Business Sustainability and Supply Chain. She has a concentration in Project Management and Leadership in Business. On campus, she is involved in Supply Chain Management Association (SCMA) at ASU and has an on campus job! She has also interned with DriveTime and Northrop Grumman. For WBLA, Nicole was our VP of Social Events last year. Her hobbies include art, traveling, and pilates/yoga. We are so grateful to have you in WBLA, Nicole, and will miss you very much when you graduate! ??
