Happy Women's History Month! Last week, WBEC Metro NY and Wells Fargo hosted a fabulous day of connection and learning for New York-metro area women’s business enterprises. The Women Mean Business Summit gave me and my fellow WBE's the opportunity to unpack the issues of today while hearing from advocates and business leaders that are supporting our success. To say that there is a lot going on right now is an understatement, so having thought leaders take the time to show up and share means so much. Thanks to the speakers, panelists and moderators: Teri Coaxum, MPA, MBA, Liz Cullen Whitehead, Angela Dingle, Robert Schapira, Geri Stengel, Avis Yates Rivers, Diana Domenech and I. Javette Hines, Esq., CPSD,RP. Thanks to Trung T Tieu and the fabulous WBEC Metro NY and WBEC Greater DMV team for leading the charge: Phala Mire, Leandra Joseph, Ana Ramos and Vanessa Foster. Special shoutout to - Suniti Ramanujam for schooling us on how her consumer products bringing ancient remedies to the present. - The Dessert Ladies for donating their stellar cupcakes to the attendee raffle. I won! ?? They were extremely tasty. I highly recommend! What an INCREDIBLE time we had at the NY #WomenMEANBusiness Summit last week! ?? Women business owners (WBEs), corporate members, and industry leaders gathered for a whole day of networking, strategic matchmaking, business insights, and a marketplace for WBEs to showcase their products and services. With strong engagement from attendees, the Summit focused on how WBEs can adapt to an evolving business landscape. Three key messages emerged: 1??????????Collaborate and Invest in Other WBEs 2????Open Doors for Others 3????Consider International or Regional Expansion Let's continue these conversations and stay connected as a network to fuel not only our own success but the success of each other! ?? What was your favorite moment? Here are some ?? highlights, but you can relive the day soon when we post the gallery on our website — stay tuned! #WomenInBusiness #WomenEntrepreneurs

Last week our CEO, Cynthia Ward, attended the WBEC Metro NY Q1 ‘Women Mean Business’ summit sponsored by Wells Fargo. Phala Mire, recently elected?President?of the WBEC Metro NY, opened the day?with a focus on the importance of supporting other women business owners, WBENC, and their corporate members. Teri Coaxum, MPA, MBA?of Coaxum Connects?followed by speaking on the power of women led communities in business. She offered?three definitive CTAs?for women business owners: ????? Leverage AI? ????? Advocate for your business because you need to be at the table? ????? Invest in each other – mentorship matters Other panels throughout the day?focused on the changing economic landscape and the outlook of women in business.?The most important take away from these sessions?is that we are?NOT?operating?under business as usual. Despite the fact that?women owned businesses contribute $3.3 trillion?to the US economy, there is a clear call to action that we need to Stay Resilient and continue to advocate?for other women owned businesses. It was a day full of immersive experiences?and fantastic networking opportunities. ????? Angela Dingle represented Women Impacting Public Policy (WIPP), a non-partisan women’s political advocacy group. She spoke on the importance of how women business owners can advocate through policy. ????? The Marketplace?featured women owned businesses and was an excellent chance to?connect with other women entrepreneurs. ????? Our vendor partner Mercury Envelope, The Mercury Companies – owned by Alison Deutsch, was also there showcasing?their talent on the Marketplace floor. Overall, this was a superb conference and we’re looking forward to the WBENC national conference in June even more now so we can continue this important dialogue. #BigAgencySmart #SmallAgencyHeart? #WomenOwned #WMBSummit2025?#StayResilient
