Team members from Wayne-Sanderson Farms recently convened in Gainesville, Georgia, to celebrate the graduation of the 2024 Cohort of the RiSE Leadership Development Program. RiSE-- Refining, Influencing, and Stewarding Excellence, is an 8-month program designed to identify and nurture high-performing leaders with significant potential within the company. During the program, participants engaged in monthly meetings, training workshops, self-guided studies, and one-on-one coaching sessions to enhance their management expertise, leadership skills, and professional growth. Over a two-day event last week, graduates had the valuable opportunity to connect with senior leadership and strengthen relationships with their peers. Wayne-Sanderson Farms is excited to announce the completion of a $25 million upgrade and renovation of our Mocksville, North Carolina Feed Mill facility! The feed mill has the capacity to produce 4,500 tons of feed each week to serve more than 140 family farms in the area that serves our processing facility in Dobson, North Carolina. Wayne-Sanderson Farms’ Laurel, Mississippi Regional Office and Complex recently sponsored the inaugural “Wing Wars” event, in partnership with Laurel Main Street, bringing the community together for a day of delicious competition and connection! This week, Wayne-Sanderson Farms hosted Representative Bruce Westerman at the site of our new feed mill, currently under construction in Danville, Arkansas, as part of Westerman's Ag Tour. Built primarily with locally sourced materials, this state-of-the-art facility is a major investment in the community, aimed at creating jobs and supporting over 125 local farm partners with complete nutrition solutions. Once operational in April 2025, the mill will produce 8,500 tons of feed weekly. #MakingChickenAmazing
